6 Ways AthletiCo is Celebrating National Physical Therapy Month
Leave a CommentIn case you haven’t heard, October is National Physical Therapy Month, and AthletiCo is celebrating by giving back to its patients and the community. Check out what we’re up to this month!
1. LifeSource Blood Drive at Six Locations
This year, in an effort to continuously improve AthletiCo’s annual blood drive, AthletiCo has teamed up with LifeSource, the largest blood center in Illinois, to hold 6 convenient drives at locations in Oak Brook, Deerfield, Naperville, Hoffman Estates, and two Chicago locations.
2. Annual Shoe Drive to Support Share Your Soles
AthletiCo is once again holding its annual shoe drive from October 3 – 15. Every AthletiCo facility will be collecting new and gently used shoes to be donated to Share Your Soles, a local non-profit organization that distributes shoes to impoverished and underprivileged communities in the United States and around the world. Bring us your shoes!
3. Lee National Denim Day
On October 7, AthletiCo once again supported Lee National Denim Day to raise money in the fight against breast cancer. AthletiCo employees donated to the cause and wore jeans and the color pink to show their support.
4. Patient Appreciation Sweepstakes to Win Tickets to the Joffrey Ballet’s The Nutcracker
AthletiCo is offering patients the opportunity to enter our PT Month Sweepstakes to win tickets to the Joffrey Ballet’s performance of The Nutcracker at the Auditorium Theatre this December.
5. Blog Posts Educating about Physical Therapy
Throughout October, our blog posts will continue to educate about the physical therapy profession, including the top 10 things you didn’t know about physical therapy, weekend warrior injury prevention, the female athlete triad, and how physical therapists and athletic trainers work together.
6. Complimentary Injury Screenings
AthletiCo is here to help people get back to doing what they love to do. That is why we offer complimentary injury screenings where a licensed professional will assess strength, range of motion, and flexibility, which will help guide your medical options. And when it comes to complimentary injury screenings, every month is PT Month as complimentary injury screenings are offered year-round!
Happy Physical Therapy Month!
