Clinical Excellence: Celebrating Athletico’s Board-Certified Specialists
Leave a CommentAt Athletico, our clinicians are encouraged to undergo advanced training and pursue certifications, giving them the experience and education to provide our patients with the highest standard of care. We want to recognize the Athletico clinicians who have committed to their education and their practice in becoming board-certified as an Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) or Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS). The credentials are designated by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) to those individuals who have successfully become board-certified clinical specialists in working with orthopaedic diagnoses or sports injuries.
A physical therapist can choose to specialize in these areas through successful completion of residencies or through self-study. Athletico proudly offers both orthopaedic and sports residency programs to our clinicians through our long-lasting partnership with Evidence in Motion (EIM). EIM represents a “first in class” environment for prospective residents to receive the highest caliber of training to become distinguished leaders in evidence-based orthopaedic or sports practice. Whether residency or self-study, each pathway is followed by a board-specialty examination to demonstrate expertise in the respective area. Congratulations to Athletico’s newest board-certified specialists!
