Athletico Physical Therapy Announces Promotions of Three Company Leaders

Oak Brook, Ill.— Athletico Physical Therapy is proud to announce appointments to its executive team with the promotion of three company leaders effective immediately: Chief Operating Officer, Joseph E. Giles; Vice President of Marketing, Carol A. Czaplicki; and Vice President of Outreach Services, Jason Bannack. The appointments come less than a year after Athletico acquired Accelerated Rehabilitation Centers, becoming one of the largest physical therapy providers in the Midwest.

“We are very excited to recognize these executive team members for their strategic leadership and innovative vision,” said Athletico CEO & President Mark Kaufman. “Each has had a direct impact on the success of the company and they will play key roles in leading us through our next phase of growth.”

Joseph E. Giles joined Athletico in 2014 as Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development. In his new role as Chief Operating Officer, Giles oversees the company’s growth strategy and operations, including business development, marketing, athletic training services and various other functions. Giles was instrumental in the success of Athletico’s recent acquisition of Accelerated. He offers more than 15 years of mergers and acquisition and corporate experience. Before joining Athletico, Giles was a director with Vista Equity Partners in Chicago. Giles holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in Business Administration, with a Juris Doctorate in Law, from the University of Michigan.

Carol A. Czaplicki has been with Athletico for more than 10 years. As Vice President of Marketing, she oversees key marketing activities including digital marketing, brand management, advertising, sponsorship portfolio, public relations, market research and Athletico’s charitable giving. Czaplicki holds a bachelor’s degree in Public & Corporate Communications from Butler University and a certification in Digital Marketing from Loyola University.

Jason Bannack is a 14-year Athletico veteran. In his new role, he is responsible for the daily operation of the company’s athletic training, fitness and performance, massage therapy, and outreach service lines across nine states. Bannack oversees more than 350 licensed certified athletic trainers and more than 450 high school, collegiate, and professional franchise clients across the company. Bannack holds a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with emphasis in Sports Medicine from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a master’s degree in Allied Medical Management from The Ohio State University.
