International Women’s Day: Equity in the Workplace

March 8th signifies International Women’s Day (IWD), a global day celebrating women’s social, economic, cultural, and political achievements. It is one of the most important days to celebrate women’s accomplishments and raise awareness about women’s equality.

To celebrate this day, we asked leaders to speak on the Importance of Equity in the Workplace. Together, we can take action for a more fair, inclusive, and diverse future.

Whether clinical or not, our Values of “People-Focused” and “Continuous Improvement” especially demand that we are a place where people can come to do great work, learn, and succeed!
	Geri Cook, VP Revenue Cycle Equity in the workplace refers to actionable steps to ensure and sustain equal, unbiased outcomes. i.e., advancement, inclusion, opportunities, treatment, etc., for all employees, including those with different circumstances. True equity denies marginalization.
	Sam Curley, VP Financial Planning Great teams need a diversity of perspectives and ideas, so it is vitally important for everyone to have the opportunity to grow and contribute. I feel very fortunate that Athletico values equity in the workplace, but there is no finish line, and we must push to expand opportunities for all our team members daily.
