I consider myself an Athletico lifer. Since I started, I have felt invested in various leadership individuals that have come and gone. This is consistent with a culture of being a People Focused company and wanting to develop from within. The Emerging Leaders Program and the continued investment into internal and external CEUs evidence this. There is an expectation for all team members that we invest in ourselves and that accountability continues to be why our NPS scores are industry-leading. There is something to be said about working with “the best (according to our patients) in the business.” I take pride in that. The investment in clinical excellence as well as excellence in our overall operations, has created the company Athletico is today. I feel comfortable with the direction of our industry and how our leadership will take us there. – Brad P., PT, DPT | Regional Director, Athletico Physical Therapy
Employee Testimonial
I chose Athletico because the clinic where I work allowed me to serve the community I grew up in. I enjoy working with local athletes of all ages. I have recently completed the Clinical Mentorship program, which has allowed me to expand my foundational knowledge and establish mentorship relationships to achieve my professional goals. The Mentorship program guided me to complete my Blood Flow Restriction and Astym Certification within my first year of clinical practice. – Emilie D., PT, DPT, Astym Cert. | Physical Therapist, Athletico Physical Therapy
I have been with Athletico since June 2022. I chose Athletico after finishing college because I had a clinical rotation at one. I loved the people and atmosphere. My clinical instructor had heard about an opening at a different Athletico and informed me. Soon after, I applied and was given the position after my interview. I have received great mentorship from my Clinic Manager and supportive staff, with me being a new grad. I would definitely recommend them! – Anna M., PTA | Physical Therapist Assistant, Athletico Physical Therapy
I started with Pivot as a new grad and was impressed by the mentorship provided to me during my first few months. I was encouraged to ask questions to help me grow as a clinician and to excel in my patient care. Early on, I was provided with opportunities to advance my clinical expertise and fine-tune my leadership skills to help me advance into a managerial role. Throughout my time with Pivot and now Athletico, I have grown as a practitioner and a leader to provide the best patient care and contribute to a positive team environment. Advancement opportunities continue to present themselves, and I look forward to future development with the Pivot/Athletico family! – Lauren M., PT, DPT, CMTPT/DN | Clinic Manager, Pivot Physical Therapy
As a new grad at Pivot, I worked with high-caliber PTs with a variety of knowledge that helped mold me into the clinician I am today. By my second year, I was simultaneously working on my Manual Therapy and Dry Needling certifications with minimal out-of-pocket cost due to Pivot’s con-ed benefits. With the support of my clinic director at the time, I started taking on clinical students and managing my caseload in a way where I was able to capitalize on our incentive program and continuously challenge myself professionally. The 40-minute appointment times and 7-7 business hours at Pivot allow you to be flexible with your patients’ schedules and time off. Finally, as clinic director, I have worked under the same area manager that hired me five years ago, and I can trust that she knows who I am, how I work, and what my professional goals are. She has always been supportive and motivating and recommends me for company roles that she knows I will enjoy! – Jenna K., PT, DPT, COMT, CPTPT, 200HR-CYT | Clinic Director, Pivot Physical Therapy
I had worked for Athletico Physical Therapy as a rehabilitation aide for the last three years while in grad school. After finishing my DPT, it was an easy decision to join the Athletico team. I witnessed high-level patient care, purposeful clinical decision-making, teamwork, and guided mentorship at every level. Through my first year, I have been given more than enough resources to accomplish all the clinical and professional goals I set for myself. I still have weekly 1:1 mentorship meetings with my Regional Manager and clinical skills mentor. Athletico has given me the confidence and trusts in my skills to be an excellent clinician. I look forward to growing with and in this company for many years. – Jacob R., DPT | Physical Therapist, Athletico Physical Therapy
I began with the company right out of PT school in 2015. I soon after took advantage of the opportunities afforded by our continuing education platform by getting certified in dry needling and obtaining my COMT. From there, I participated in our Emerging Leaders Program, which prepared me to become a clinic director. I have recently been promoted to regional director in just a few short years! The company has really supported my professional goals the entire way! – Branden K., PT, DPT, COMT, CMTPT | Regional Director-Montgomery County, MD, Pivot Physical Therapy
I have been with Athletico for nearly six years of my 7-year career. I completed an OCS residency with Athletico, which has helped me expand my knowledge and grow. Athletico has also allowed me to expand my knowledge of vestibular therapy. Moreover, I have become BFR certified through Athletico, Graston M1 Trained, McKenzie Part A trained, and Dry Needling certified (CMTPT). Athletico’s Political Action Committee allowed me to go to Washington DC and APTA Headquarters for a fly-in to fight for physical therapy-related bills and legislation. We talked to a few House Representatives at their office and in a casual setting as a group with other physical therapists from other companies. Additionally, I have been able to contribute to the company’s blog. There are many side projects clinicians can join and become involved with if they choose to do so. – Clinton B., PT, DPT, CMTPT/DN | Physical Therapist, Athletico Physical Therapy
I have worked for Pivot Physical Therapy since 2012 as a new graduate. I started as a staff therapist in a big clinic, then became a clinic director at a small clinic after about 1.5 years with the company. I had multiple opportunities throughout the years to move on to new clinics and take on new challenges as a clinician and a manager. My area manager and mentor, Charles Mutschler, has been supportive all these years. Under his guidance and tutelage, I have been able to thrive in my environment and help my patients achieve their goals. The autonomy I have as a clinician while working under Mr. Mutschler for Athletico/Pivot has been very helpful in developing my skill set as well as confidence. Athletico/Pivot is a great company to work for, with many growth opportunities, especially under exceptional leadership. – Martin H., PT, DPT, CMTPT, FMS, SFMA | Clinic Director, Pivot Physical Therapy
