Athletico is proud to be the Official Provider of Physical Therapy for The Joffrey Ballet for over 20 years. Through this partnership, our physical therapists are onsite throughout rehearsals and performances, including the busy Nutcracker season, in order to keep dancers healthy and performing to the best of their ability.

Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel pain. This condition impacts the plantar fascia, which is a thick band of fibrous connective tissue on the bottom of the foot that extends from the heel to the toes. Based on its location and makeup, the plantar fascia is ideally positioned to maintain and support the arch on the bottom of the foot. However, it is not designed to be the primary stabilizing structure.

The Athletico team is excited to join more than 12,000 professionals at the American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) 2019 Combined Sections Meeting (CSM) at the end of this month. CSM is the largest physical therapy conference in the country where professionals have the opportunity to take continuing education courses, learn about clinical advancements, as well as network with industry leaders and peers.
