Sandy Thompson

Sandy Thompson is a Partner at BDT & Company. Mr. Thompson is the Head of Coverage for the healthcare industry sector at the firm, and also serves on the Investment Committee for BDT Capital Partners.

Prior to joining BDT, Mr. Thompson spent eight years as a Partner at Roundtable Healthcare Partners, focused on investing in healthcare growth equity companies. He also spent 13 years at Morgan Stanley where he led the global medical technology practice, was Head of the Global Consumer and Retail Group, and served as the Head of Morgan Stanley’s Midwest banking practice. Mr. Thompson is currently a Director of Athletico Physical Therapy, EXOS and World Wide Technology. He also serves on the board of directors of Lurie Children’s Hospital Foundation and Lake Forest Open Lands.

Mr. Thompson received a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Duke University and holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
