Worker’s Compensation
In 2014 I began physical therapy and rehabilitation in Carmel, IN, as a worker’s compensation patient. Things changed a month later when I was diagnosed with a chronic DVT of the popliteal vein. Overall, the worker’s compensation process was not effective. After a clinical review by the CMO of the Indianapolis VAMC, it was identified that the original recommendation of surgery was required to enhance my health. Post knee surgery, I was displaced from my residence and moved in with a friend. From here, I was referred to Maria Dunlop at the Indianapolis, Monument Circle location to begin physical therapy with Athletico. Maria created an aggressive, comprehensive treatment plan, keeping my goals in mind every step of the way. Her ability to listen and to empathize makes her one of the best in the business. She shows concern and compassion regarding my quality of life, which is greatly appreciated. I can’t wait to get back to roller skating as well as out on the dance floor! I have more hope now than I have had before. Maria, thank you for all that you do!
