At 77 years old, I was healthy and active for my age. Then, in March, I had an accident that resulted in a traumatic brain injury and a lengthy hospital stay. During my recovery, we discovered that my balance and strength had also been affected, and I would need extensive rehabilitation.
I began with at-home therapy for 3-4 weeks and then transitioned to Athletico. Over the next five months, I worked with Vani and the other therapists 2-3 days a week. The entire team had high expectations, were very encouraging, and always listened to me and my needs.
Six months after my accident, the team and I agreed I had achieved my goals, and I graduated. I was back to normal quicker than expected. I’m now stronger than I was before my accident, with better balance thanks to Athletico.
