Dreams for Kids Partners with AthletiCo for Volunteer Service Day
Chicago-based non-profit and AthletiCo employees team up to beautify Chicago public school on August 15
Dreams for Kids, a Chicago-based non-profit, will partner with AthletiCo for AthletiCo’s Inaugural Volunteer Service Day on Sunday, August 15. Dreams for Kids is a volunteer-based children’s charity that empowers youth living in poverty and those with disabilities to help others in their communities.
During AthletiCo’s service day, close to 200 employees and their families will have the opportunity to collaborate with local youth, students, and school administration on a beautification project at Frank W. Reilly Elementary School in Chicago. Beautification projects include landscaping projects, painting projects, restoring a gymnasium, and cleaning the inside of the school. In addition, AthletiCo employees will hold a jean day fundraiser to support the school’s athletic department.
“Dreams for Kids is honored to partner with AthletiCo, a true role model in community leadership,” says Tom Tuohy, president and founder of Dreams for Kids, “Together, we will be able to reach hundreds of deserving youth.”
AthletiCo’s president and founder, Mark Kaufman, believes that partnering with Dreams for Kids on this community service project will not only impact the students and staff at Frank W. Reilly Elementary School, but it will also impact AthletiCo employees as they discover what a difference volunteering can make on both a personal and community level.
