What many people overlook, however, is that all of the time spent practicing and performing can actually result in injuries, similar to any other person honing a particular skill. Although musician injuries may not be viewed as severe as other orthopedic injuries, they can still result in restrictions for high-level activities.
Stretch of the Week: Arm Sweeps on Foam Roller
For the second week of November we will be performing an Arm Sweeps stretch on the foam roller. It provides a stretch through the arms and pectoral muscles (chest).
This stretch requires a foam roller to perform. If you have difficulty getting up and down from the floor, or any shoulder injuries, please skip this week’s stretch.
